Advanced Seminars and Webinars in Complex Trauma and Dissociation

A ten-month seminar program for psychotherapists and other related professionals interested in developing greater comfort and expertise in working with complex trauma and dissociation while staying abreast of recent trauma-related research and treatment advances.

Advanced Seminars will begin in the fall of 2010 on Wednesdays from 12-2 pm.

Now accessible over the internet in a remote learning webinar format!

A new Webinar series will begin in September of 2010: a Level I seminar “Working with the Neurobiological Legacy of Trauma,” which will air one Thursday per month from 12-2 pm EST, covers the same material as the seminar. A second year seminar program for previous graduates of Level I, entitled, “Principles and Challenges of Trauma Treatment,” will air one Monday per month from 12-2 pm EST.

All webinar series are recorded and available for later viewing or reviewing by participants.

Sample of topics to be covered:

  • Implications of the neurobiological research for trauma treatment
  • “The body keeps the score:” the somatic legacy of trauma
  • Using mind-body techniques in traditional talking therapy
  • Disorganized attachment and the therapeutic alliance Dissociative phenomena in the everyday lives of survivors
  • Working with shame and self-loathing
  • The challenges of self-destructive behavior

Advanced Seminar Programs 2010-11

The Wednesday seminar will begin September 29.

  • Seminar dates: September 29, October 27, November 17, and December 15, 2010;
    January 12, February 16, March 16, April 20, and May 18, 2011

The Thursday webinar will begin September 30.

  • Level I Webinar dates: September 30, October 21, November 18, December 16, 2010;
    January 13, February 10, March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 16, 2011

To register for a seminar, download an Advanced Seminar Interest Survey. To register for a webinar, download a Webinar Interest Survey. A registration confirmation will be returned via email.

Tuition: $750 for the series of ten seminars and $600 for the series of ten webinars. Continuing education credits are available for the seminar only at an additional charge.
